WSU Email & Microsoft 365 Access
- WSU email stays active as long as you continue logging in.
- If you do not log in for over a year, your email will be deactivated.
- Microsoft Office is no longer installed on your laptop.
- You can still use Microsoft Office apps online through your WSU email.
- If your alumni email is inactivated, you will also lose access to your O365 apps.
Note: MS Office 365 licensing is subject to change at Microsoft’s discretion.
Purchase/Payment Information
You purchased your device from Aspen Capital (the leasing company), so that is the name that will appear on your credit card transaction — not WSU.

- PC laptops: Windows 11
Antivirus (Mac)
Macs no longer include antivirus software. If you want antivirus protection, you will need to purchase it on your own.
Warranty/Service Plan (Safeware)
- 2024 model laptops are covered under an extended service plan through Safeware, Inc.
- Plan expiration: 9/1/2027
- First 30 days after purchase: WSU Tech Support will assist you.
- After 30 days: Use Safeware support/claim process below.
How to File a Safeware Claim
- Go to www.safeware.com/myclaim.
- Select Advanced Search, enter your device serial number, then click Continue.
- Confirm the product, then click Submit Claim.
- On the Submit a Claim page, the school’s contract information will auto-populate. Update those fields with your contact information before continuing.
- Under Product Information, choose the event type that caused the need for the claim.
- Under Claims Details, select the date the failure occurred and provide a detailed description of what happened.
- Click the final Submit button at the bottom of the screen.
Claim Confirmation & Status
- You will receive a confirmation message that your claim has been received, along with a reference number.
- To check claim status, contact the Safeware Solution Center at 800-800-1492 and follow the prompts.
