Enterprise CRM Implementation Update
Minnesota State remains committed to implementing a system wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution as a key component of the long-term vision for student engagement, recruitment, communication, support, and student success. However, after careful consideration, implementation of the enterprise CRM will occur following the Workday Student go-live rather than alongside the current Workday Student implementation effort.
This decision reflects a deliberate sequencing of initiatives rather than a change in strategy. By first establishing Workday Student as the system of record, Minnesota State will be better positioned to design, configure, and integrate a future CRM solution that aligns with business processes and minimizes the need for rework. This approach also reduces implementation complexity and helps avoid competing demands on institutional resources during a critical phase of the Workday Student project.
As Minnesota State continues transformation efforts, we will remain focused on activities that directly support Workday Student implementation success, including identity and access management and modern data architecture.
