Inserting "Stuff", Images, Media, and Links

The Insert Stuff button allows you to add videos from MediaSpace, links, files from your computer, embed codes, videos from Films on Demand, and more.

The Insert QuickLink button lets you add a link to other course content, including quizzes, discussions, content, checklists, and rubrics. This tool also allows you to add external links (URLs).

The Insert Image button lets you add images via your computer or URL. This method should be used to add all images (rather than copy and paste).

Pro Tips

As a general rule, always enter your materials into the Brightspace HTML Editor directly. Do not copy and paste it from another, more sophisticated editor (e.g., Word). Such content may include formatting tags that will not convert to HTML and may cause unexpected results. If you must copy content from another editor, paste it into the Brightspace HTML Editor, use the [Shift][Ctrl][V] (PC) or [Shift][Command][V] (Mac) key combination, which pastes what is on your clipboard in plain, unformatted text.
