ThreatDown Endpoint Agent, formerly know as Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection, is an anti-malware and internet security software suite that is provided to all Winona State computers.

ThreatDown Endpoint Agent can prevent, detect, and remove malware, ransomware, possibly unwanted programs (PUPs), and many other types of malicious software from both Windows and macOS computers. We also use Threatdown to patch our software for known vulnerabilities and block malicious websites. 

ThreatDown Endpoint Agent:

  • protects users from online threats.
  • provides real-time protection against a myriad of ever-evolving threats.
  • helps remove existing malicious programs.
  • is an industry-leader in malware protection.

How to Run a Threat Scan

Windows

  1. Select the carrot "^" on the taskbar, near the bottom right corner by the date and time. 
  2. Select the ThreatDown Endpoint Agent icon MalwarebytesEndpointProtection.png.  
  3. Select "Start Threat Scan".

Steps to start a threat scan on a pc.

  1. The ThreatDown window will appear and inform you of the status of your scan.

macOS

  1. Select the ThreatDown Nebula Agent icon ThreatDown Icon, located on right side of the menu bar by the date and time.  
  2. Select "View my printers"

  1. The ThreatDown Nebula Agent window will appear and inform you of the status of your scan.
