The Prototype Review Workshops (PRW) and Baseline Business Process Alignment (BBPA) sessions bring together subject matter experts (SMEs) from across Minnesota State to provide feedback on early versions of Workday Student. These workshops will showcase the student lifecycle, demonstrate new functionality, and encourage open collaboration to inform the next project phase.
PRW Session Objectives
- Provide background on the prototype tenant.
- Participate in interactive sessions to review and confirm prototype decisions through a showcase of the student lifecycle.
- Highlight improvements in functionality, the student experience, business process efficiency, and employee productivity.
- Openly acknowledge challenges to inform the tenant build in the next project phase.
- Build confidence in both the project and the product.
- Minimize project risk by sharing information prior to the foundation tenant build.
- Introduce change management strategies to prepare institutions for the future state.
BBPA Session Objectives
- Prepare institutional functional area subject matter experts (SMEs) for changes to business processes and aligned functionality.
- Introduce institution SMEs to Team Workday and NextGen project professionals to strengthen communication and collaboration.
- Conduct interactive sessions with SMEs to create a deeper understanding of aligned business processes and baseline functionality.
- Gather feedback based on institutional business needs.
- Openly acknowledge challenges to inform the tenant build in the next project phase.
- Minimize project risk by sharing functional area information prior to foundation tenant build.
- Build confidence in the project methodology and the Workday product.
