The Winona State University logo is comprised of the Winona State University word mark paired with the “Flaming W” is the primary image for the university. The word mark and “Flaming W” should be prominently displayed in all publications for internal and external audiences.
For flexibility of use in different media and formats, the approved Winona State University word mark may be used with or without the “Flaming W”. Guidelines for usage are shown below.
Guidelines for Usage
Winona State departments, operating units, and organizations use a variety of signature lines attached to the university logo. Use of the Winona State logo and word mark is encouraged on all primary publications that promote the university’s mission, goals, and events. Uniform use of the university’s primary image benefits all entities when it is not compromised or in competition with other graphic marks.
These guidelines are intended to help communicators use Winona State graphic elements consistently and effectively across all print and electronic media.
Approved Downloadable Logos
The downloadable logo library provided by Creative Services includes .eps and.png files. It is important to understand the difference between these files.
- For web applications and/or for transparent backgrounds, use .png files.
- For print application, use .eps files.
