- Student Worker design: Design sessions resumed in June with an updated, more flexible model shaped by campus feedback, now offered twice weekly with designated Campus Leads.
- Change Readiness Assessment: The first systemwide assessment (1,435 responses) scored 3.44/5, showing strong willingness to change but a need for clearer, role-specific communication.
- Building the foundation: New Modern Data Architecture and Identity and Access Management (IAM 3.0, using Okta) initiatives aim to improve data consistency, security, and system access.
- Companion Projects & new website: Three new Community Companion Projects (PaperCut, BP Logix, Ready Campus) added, and NextGen communications are moving to the Minnesota State website as their primary home.

- Presidential perspectives: Presidents from South Central College and Metro State highlight how Workday Student will simplify the student experience and free staff to focus on relationships and student success.
- Performance Management & data work: A new Workday Performance Management module goes live July 1, 2026, while data conversion from ISRS into Workday Student is underway—institutions are urged to clean up their data now.
- Prototype validation: During the Align and Confirm Validate Phase, campus representatives joined Prototype Review Workshops to test the full student lifecycle and provide feedback.
- New resources & events: Training materials are now centralized in the Knowledge Base, a Student Phase Glossary launched on the NextGen Hub, and February's NextGen Student Showcase and Town Hall (with Chancellor Scott Olson) offered a preview of Workday Student.

- Student Phase launch: First newsletter of NextGen's Student Phase, focused on implementing Workday Student.
- Workday Student progress: Prototype configured and student data converted from two institutions; December milestone brings Prototype Review Workshops.
- Companion projects & Student Worker: Discovery sessions done at all 33 colleges/universities; 44 alignment areas being narrowed to 4–12 (Oct 2025–Feb 2026).
- System updates: Workday 2025R2 update released Sept 20; extended care support after the July 2024 HCM/Finance go-live concluded.
