How to Reserve a Campus Space or Meeting Room
Campus spaces at Winona State are here to support learning, events, and student life.
Whether you’re part of the campus community — as a student, faculty member, or staff member — or you’re unaffiliated with the university — as a community member or external organization — there are a few guidelines to follow when reserving a space.
Why These Guidelines Matter
Winona State campus buildings and outdoor areas are mainly used for classes, events, and other university activities. Because of this, all reservations must follow university policies.
These rules are outlined in Regulation 4-4: Use of University Space/Facilities. Please note that this policy is currently being updated.
Winona State may also place reasonable limits on when, where, and how spaces are used. Activities that interrupt classes, events, or daily operations are not allowed.
How to Make a Reservation
Winona State Students, Faculty, & Staff
Use the EMS Room Reservation System to book indoor or outdoor spaces on campus.
Community Members & External Organizations
Email studentunion@winona.edu to request a space.
Requests must be submitted at least 2 business days in advance.
Special Timing Considerations
Final exams and Commencement are busy times for students each semester.
To reduce distractions, outside groups cannot reserve campus spaces during these times.
Exceptions may be made, but only with approval from the Vice President for Student Life & Development.
