Overview
Laptops and iPads are available for short-term or semester-long rentals through the Technical Support Center. This service is open to all members of the Winona State University community, including students, employees, and departments.
You’ll receive a notification when your device is ready for pickup at the IT Front Desk in Somsen Hall 207 in Winona or Coffman Center 122 in Rochester.
Pricing
Rentals can be charged to personal eServices accounts or department cost centers / program codes.
- iPad Rentals: iPads may be borrowed for up to one semester free of charge for academic or university use. If you need multiple iPads at once for an event or require special software installed in advance, the rental rate is $5 per iPad per day.
- Laptop Rentals: Laptops are available for $10 per day per laptop for short-term use such as conferences, travel, or departmental events. Please allow at least 2 business days to prepare laptop rentals.
- Same-Day Rentals: You may rent a laptop on the same day as your request if you plan to set it up using your own StarID. Please allow approximately one hour for setup and processing.
- Additional service fees may apply for requests that require extensive setup or software configuration.
