The Winona State University logo is the primary image for the university. Our logo is comprised of the Winona State University word mark paired with the “Flaming W.”
The word mark and “Flaming W” should be prominently displayed in all publications for internal and external audiences.
Guidelines for Usage
Use of the Winona State logo and word mark is encouraged on all primary publications that promote the university’s mission, goals, and events. Uniform use of the university’s logo benefits all entities when it is not compromised or in competition with other graphic marks. These guidelines are intended to help communicators use Winona State graphic elements consistently and effectively across all print and electronic media.
For flexibility of use in different media and formats, the approved Winona State University word mark may be used with or without the “Flaming W”. The "Flaming W" should always be used along with the word mark. The "Flaming W" can only be used as a stand alone graphic when clearly contextualized as belonging to Winona State University, such as when used as profile image for university social media accounts or when incorporated into campus decorations or fixtures.
AI-generated graphics may be used decoratively, but must not incorporate, modify or stylistically reinterpret Winona State official logos, seals or brand icons. All AI-generated work should be reviewed carefully to ensure that it is accurate, appropriate and aligned with University values and brand standards.
