WSU Networks

The WSU wireless network is a new and primary campus wireless network available to WSU students & employees. This network is a certificate based network.

It is currently available on all current university leased MacBook laptops and the HP 24 & 25 models. This network will appear as WSU on the MacBooks and WSU-User and WSU-Device on the HP model.

This network is also available on personal mobile devices (laptops, iOS devices, & android devices).

Warrior

This is a network for WSU for students and employees. This network is primary used for Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs) and personal laptops. A user needs their StarID and password to connect to this network. This network will be deprecated in the summer of 2026.

WAZOO

This is a network for WSU employee devices that require elevated access to work resources. This network is only for WSU-issued computer and there would be no need to put a personal device on this network.

Employees receiving a new Windows campus laptop or desktop since the Spring of 2025, will now use the WSU networks (WSU-User) and will not use WAZOO. All Mac users will use the WSU network. This network will be deprecated in the summer of 2026.

WSUGuest

Visitors to Winona State University are welcome to enjoy our campus wireless network using the WSU Guest wireless network. Visitors can connect one device (e.g. phone, laptop, tablet) for 24 hours, after which they will need to renew their guest account.

Connecting to WSU Guest wireless is not recommended for current WSU students or employees, who can connect to the Warrior and WSU networks using their StarID credentials.

WSUmywifi

The WSUmywifi network is a WSU wireless network available to students living in the Winona campus residence halls to connect your personally-owned devices to the Internet, including phones, game consoles, smart televisions, and streaming media devices (e.g. Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google Chromecast, smart tvs, etc).

This network is intended for personal devices that a user can not connect to the Warrior or WSU networks.
